Story:

Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a poor woodcutter and his wife who had two children, a boy named Hansel and a girl named Gretel. They lived in a small cottage on the edge of a dense forest. The woodcutter was the only source of income for the family, but due to the poor economic conditions, they were struggling to make ends meet.

One day, the woodcutter's wife suggested that they leave Hansel and Gretel in the forest as they can't afford to feed them. The woodcutter was hesitant but eventually agreed. Hansel and Gretel were left in the forest with nothing but a breadcrumb trail to guide them back home.

They wandered through the forest, following the breadcrumbs, but soon realized that the birds had eaten them all. They were lost and alone in the dark forest. Suddenly, they came across a gingerbread house, with a sweet smell coming from inside. They decided to take a closer look and found that the house was made entirely of candy and gingerbread.

The children were overjoyed and happily ate the candy and gingerbread, but little did they know that the house belonged to a wicked witch. She had built the house to lure children and then eat them.

When the witch returned and found Hansel and Gretel inside, she locked them in a cage. Hansel and Gretel were very clever and managed to outsmart the witch and escape from the cage. They pushed the witch into the oven and ran out of the house.

They found their way back home and were joyfully reunited with their family. From then on, they lived happily together, never having to worry about food or shelter again.

The end.
