The Lost Kitten

Once upon a time, there was a little kitten named Mittens. Mittens was a playful and curious kitten, who loved to explore the neighborhood. She would often wander off without telling her owner, and her owner would have to go out and search for her.
One day, Mittens went out for a walk as usual, but this time she got lost. She didn't know where she was and she couldn't find her way back home. She was scared and alone, wandering the streets for hours.
As the sun began to set, Mittens came across a kind old lady, who noticed that Mittens looked lost and offered to help her. The kind lady took Mittens in and gave her a warm meal and a cozy bed to sleep in.
Mittens was so grateful to the kind lady, she felt safe and loved. She decided to stay with the kind lady for the night, and in the morning, the kind lady helped her find her way back home.
When Mittens finally returned home, her owner was overjoyed and relieved. From that day on, Mittens never strayed too far from home and would always come back home before sunset.
